A local derby took shape on Saturday as Wangaratta District Junior Football League competition hit the region once more.

Benalla Giants and Benalla Bulldogs under-12s hit the park, with the game going the way of the Giants 4.7 (31) to 1.5 (11).

Josh Hart starred with three goals for the winning side, while Angus Richardson toiled away tirelessly for the Bulldogs.

Ensign photographer Brenden Paddock roamed the boundary to capture the youngsters in full flight.
