In division four of the Goulburn Valley Weekend Pennant competition, East Shepparton hosted Dookie for round eight.
The two sides went into the fixture similarly poised, with Dookie having a record of 4-2-1, while East Shepparton sat on 3-3-1.
Dookie skipper Ron Harker claimed bragging rights over East Shepparton skipper Murray Reid in the first rink, winning a tight contest 13-15.
Gary Lowe led a barnstorming victory in the second rink as Dookie dominated 11-24.
However, after some greasing of elbows and shining of bowls, East Shepparton fought back hard in the third to claim the rink 20-11.
The final rink of the match went down to the wire, with Dookie skipper Neil Swainston securing the victory with a 16-20 scoreline.
The away side emerged on top of the contest, with Dookie winning the match 2-60 to 16-70.
Dookie now sits in second place on the ladder, one win behind Euroa, while East Shepparton is stuck in the middle of the pack in fifth.
In other division four matches, Euroa defeated Merrigum away from home 3-59 to 15-74.
Shepparton Park overcame Tatura-Hill Top to win the match 4-74 to 14-76.
Seymour became the fourth team of the round to claim a win on the road by defeating Mooroopna 4-68 to 14-85.
Meanwhile, Alexandra secured a commanding victory over Tallygaroopna, winning the match 2-60 to 16-88.
