Goorambat 41 d All Blacks 29
We got off to a flying start with Sarah Osborne leading the way in our midcourt with plenty of drive and pressure, although at times we found ourselves playing to the All Blacks game, a credit to them and their pressure.
Molly Doidge also had a great game in the midcourt, while Ally Ellis created plenty of pressure and turnovers for us in the defensive end.

The Bats took on Benalla on another beautiful autumn day. The Bats started off well and adjusted to changes throughout the game.
Kelsey Moss demonstrated some beautiful defensive play and read the ball well all game. Tiffany Kirkpatrick ran hard through the midcourt with great drives and defence. Tayla Dempster showed her strength in WD, reading the play well and turning the ball over.
It was another great team effort by the Bats to keep their strong start to the season continuing.

This week the girls were fired up to play against old players and friends, starting off in a few new positions.
It took some time to find their footing but came out very strong in the second quarter, making strong drives and completing solid passages of play to close the margin to one goal heading into half-time.
With accurate shooting and amazing movement in the ring by Yolly Bourke and Charli Button, and strong defensive pressure across the whole court by all players, the girls were able to break away in the third quarter.
Defensive pressure by Lacey Carter and Pippa Martin in the ring allowed for the midcourt girls to force turnovers and take the ball back to our attacking end nicely. We had lots of support from spectators hyping the girls up this week, helping them remain focused and keep fighting until the end.
Awards: Yolly Bourke (Hume Solar), Lacey Carter (Terry White), Charli Button (Spot For Ice Cream), Imogen Williams (Cash Award)

Our game started off very shaky throughout the court and All Blacks came out firing.
The girls were very flat but still tried their hardest all game, as the All Blacks brought a lot of composure and great ball movement and discipline to the court.
Goorambat started to come together as a team but stayed a little flat with loss of concentration, although they did manage some great passages of play and scored a few goals.
They never dropped their heads and kept trying their hardest to jump on loose balls and contested jumps. There are moments throughout the young girls games that are brilliant and well judged, we just need to make them more consistent going forward.
There is always room for improvement, keep training and keep putting in the effort, the time will come when it all comes together, and those brief moments will eventually be for the duration of the game.

The seniors were keen to make amends for their last game defeat when they came up against local rivals Benalla All Blacks on Saturday, and they didn’t let themselves down by putting nine goals on the board in the first quarter.
No one ran with Jamie Dunne in the middle, which allowed him to play his best game for the season thus far, and Brush Haebich capitalised on the quick entries into the forward 50 causing a major headache for the opposition.
Campbell McCoy played a strong game through the middle along with Rhys Goodley up forward, with the highlight of the day for the team being the long awaited return of James Webb after injury, with Webb also playing a great game.
