The kids are truly loving their tennis and as a lover of tennis it’s so rewarding watching kids enjoy and improve as they go through their own journey.
There is no greater reward than when a child puts in the effort to improve and then can show that improvement on the court.
We are so lucky to have so many enthusiastic and talented kids at our tennis club, all improving and enjoying the great game of tennis all in their own way.
Section 1 saw RivBeef Rippers taking on Murray Darling Flights. All sets were tied with 5 apiece with doubles matches but the singles showed Rivbeef Rippers the stronger side with a good win 9 sets to 5. James Gatacre and Enzo Sztejman the only players to win their 3 sets.
The other match was JC Earthworks taking on Intersport Deni which saw JC winning 10 sets to 4 and the McGrillen brothers Jack and Hugo both winning 3 sets and also Arielle Yeji Kang winning her 3 for the 2nd week in a row.
Once again we had a terrific turn out for Saturday morning tennis. It is so great to see all the courts fully utilised by the huge number of kids we have playing each week.
The place is a buzz with so many parents offering to help and kids enjoying their tennis.
In section 1 Murray Darling Flights took on JC Earthworks with MDR coming away with a good win 9 sets to 5. This saw Archie MacDonald, Rocky Sztejman and Hugo McGrillen all winning their three sets to help their team MDR get the win.
It was a much tighter match between Rivbeef Rippers and Intersport Deni, deadlocked at the end with 7 sets each.
Eventually Rivbeef Rippers won by four games 58 to 54. Well done to all our new and old players, the standard has lifted and the development over the years is coming to fruition.
Looks like great weather for tomorrow so we will see everyone down at the courts
