Taking participants through the historic Port of Echuca, the Sweat vs Steam event took place on Sunday, October 6.
The event raises funds for the local community, through their local community grants program.
“The Sweat vs Steam Run Event raises money to support our local community, with funds raised through the running of our annual run event going back into our community through our Community Grants Program,” organisers said.
“In 2023, we were able to donate over $15,000 back into the community, supporting 18 different organisations and individuals”
With funds going to such worthwhile causes, you could only imagine the buzz around the event itself.
The event was so popular in the lead-up that applications for certain race lengths were closed, due to races being full.
