The Magpies were too strong for Cobram, overcoming a slow start to run out 24-goal victors over the Tigers.
The win and the four points mean that the Pies are now five games ahead of seventh-placed Finley with four rounds to go, meaning finals are now a mathematical certainty.
Moama coach Lisa Drysdale said it was it was great to have finals locked in.
“It’s a great feeling to know we’ll be in the finals, we have the team to push deep into the finals,” Drysdale said.
The Magpies were heavy favourites heading into the game against the 11th-placed Tigers, but Moama found the going tough early on and held a slender two-goal lead after the first quarter.
But some changes in the second quarter worked wonders, with the home side blowing the game wide open.
“We were a little bit slower in getting out of the blocks. We got off to a slow start as we adjusted to new players in the team,” Drysdale said.
“It felt like we had control and momentum in the game, the scoreboard just didn’t show it.
“In the second quarter we changed a few things around with our structures and we upped our defensive pressure and positioning.
“We busted out with a 17-4 quarter and that really set us up.”
Delaney Laffy made her A-grade debut, with Drysdale praising the youngster’s performance in her first game.
“Delaney was sensational through the mid-court and she got one of the awards for the day. She was very consistent and really looked after the ball,” she said.
Drysdale was awarded the best-on prize after the game.
With four rounds left to play, Moama will get a preview of finals netball with games against fellow top-six sides Tongala and Nathalia still to come.
