Kaitlyn Davidson starred for Moama along with Jemika Cooper, Grace McMillan, Megan Jeffreys and Shaleah Cooper, who all were named among Moama’s best.
Shepparton Swans have flown into top spot with a game in hand following their 13.9 (87) to 2.4 (16) win over Shepparton United.
The high-flying Swans kept the Demons to just a minor score until the second half, Holly Egan and Ellie Armstrong dominating at stoppage.
Phoebe Hawker had a field day in front of goal with a handy five snags, while Georgia Hoornweg and Imogen Putt were also key contributors.
Meanwhile, Benalla’s senior women notched an important win on Sunday night, overcoming Tatura 9.9 (63) to 1.0 (6) at Benalla Showgrounds.
Kelsie Piscioneri, Emma Layfield and Isabella Symes all put in a shift for the Saints to clinch their third win of the campaign.
Co-coach Russell Lowe said despite the winning margin, the game was far from one-sided.
“Tatura are a team that have struggled this year but they were really competitive,” he said.
“Our mids had their work cut out for them, their midfield was very strong and I think the only difference was we had a couple more targets forward.”
Benalla sits firmly in third spot and faces the bye round next week, before a final clash with Nathalia in a fortnight.
With a finals bout on the horizon, Lowe said it had been an encouraging year for his side.
“We’ve had a good year, the team’s a lot closer this year and the club has been showing a lot of support, which has really helped,” he said.
The senior women’s round 10 result between Echuca and Nathalia was yet to be officially recorded.
