At the Albert Heany Oval Pavilion, the Goannas’ Keith and Joel Bickerton continued their rampage as the top team, defeating the Swans’ Damian Young and Chris Seeley, five rubbers to nil. The Swans took two just games off the Goannas, but otherwise they were outclassed.
At the Tatong Hall, the Emus’ Rob Erskine and Dheeraj Reddy defeated the Tigers’ Paul Shea and substitute player Andrew Donaldson, 3-2. Three rubbers went to three games and the Tigers won the doubles. Erskine won his two singles rubbers, and Reddy and Shea won a singles each.
At the Moorngag Hall, the Bombers’ Colin Exton and Melissa Mounsey overpowered the Magpies’ Pete and Kate Smith, scoring four rubbers to one. Exton won both of his singles rubbers, and Mounsey and Pete Smith won a singles each. The Bombers won the doubles rubber.
Also at Moorngag, the Turtles’ David Beer and Mike Larkin defeated the Eagles’ Shaun Murphy and substitute player Utako Ogihara, scoring three rubbers to two. Murphy won both of his singles rubbers and Larkin and Beer won a singles each as well as the doubles rubber.
